In today's vlog, we're in Hengelo to install a brand new Shop & Go sensor on a parking spot in the city centre.
Fun fact
Hengelo was named the metal city (Metaalstad in Dutch) because of the historical bustling metal industry. As it happens, our sensors are triggered by metals. What a coincidence!
Shop & Go
It is a pin-point parking enforcement system based on real-time sensor data to measure how long a car is parked on a parking spot.
Parking enforcers carry a mobile app around to know which parking spots are overdue so they can take appropriate actions.
Who benefits?
Shopkeepers have more turnover of parked cars in front of their shops and visitors have an easier time finding an open spot.
And finally, the municipality gets better because of all the historical parking data that the sensor provides. A win-win-win solution.
