From One Small Box… to 66,000 Square Feet

We’re gearing up for the next big volunteer push at the old Buster Brown Shoe Factory—and right on cue, Jeff shows up ready to work, crack jokes, and probably point out everything I’m doing wrong. That’s friendship, right?
But the real curveball came in the mail: a viewer sent me an unbelievable gift—a collection of vintage, new old stock Buster Brown shoes. This building once made them, and now, decades later, a little piece of that history walked back through the doors. The timing couldn’t be better, with volunteers coming in to help breathe life into the place. It’s like the past and the present are shaking hands in real time.
