Solving a Hohmann Transfer Problem using GMAT (NASA's General Mission Analysis Tool)

Описание: In this video, we use GMAT to solve a Hohmann transfer orbit problem that starts from a circular parking orbit around earth to a higher final orbit around earth. In the previous video, I calculated beforehand the delta V values for both burns and in this video we set up a mission sequence so that GMAT will iterate and solve for the delta V values for both burns for you automatically. The tool that is used in this video for simulation is NASA's General Mission Analysis Tool, or "GMAT", freely available to the public.
