2023 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport 6MT - Acuity Shift Knob Install
The install process is similar for all trims of the 11th generation Civic, the shift knob may lock to the collar or be held in place by a jam nut depending on the model.
You can do this in about 15 minutes without disconnecting the battery - don't disconnect the center console wiring and be careful not to tug on the wiring harness. This method is a little more awkward but easily doable by yourself.
Parts / Tools Used:
Acuity P/N 1924-K2 – Shift Boot Collar Upgrade – Turned Stainless Steel Finish
Acuity P/N 1886-T6B – 6-Speed ESCO-T6 Shift Knob
Plastic Trim Removal Tools (strongly recommended so you don't damage plastic trim)
Cutting Pliers
12mm Open Ended Wrench
See your manual for the battery disconnect process if you decide to go that route. On certain models, disconnecting the battery can lock the radio or immobilize the car if not reconnected properly.
