Hello Friends, This video is about How to become a Registered pharmacist in UK, Pharmacist Immigration to UK. what is the difference in OSPAP and MS in Pharmacy in UK. If you are a foreign pharmacist and want to register as a pharmacist or looking for a job in UK then this video is for you. The pharmacist can registered In UK with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) through this route if you have completed: a UK accredited MPharm degree or MPharm 2+2 or Overseas Pharmacists' Assessment Programme (OSPAP) and plus 52 weeks of pre-registration training in England, Scotland or Wales signed off as satisfactory by your tutor. The OSPAP is a one-year course designed to ensure that those who have qualified overseas receive the appropriate education and training to prepare them for UK practice and entry to pre-registration training.
Your pharmacy qualification
You will need to know how your pharmacy qualification compares to the UK MPharm qualification.
The UK National Recognition Information Centre (UK NARIC) can assess your qualification and provide an official document called a ‘Statement of Comparability’, that states how your international qualifications compare to UK qualifications.
Both UK-qualified MPharm and OSPAP students must successfully complete the pre-registration training placement to be eligible to sit the registration assessment and meet the criteria for registration.
The OSPAP course is available to those who hold a pharmacy qualification gained overseas and are registered, or eligible to register, as pharmacists in their country of qualification.
