This is Hump Mountain along the Appalachian Trail.
The wind was constant and the fog swallowed most of the ridge. At times you could barely see past the next rise, just white sky and rolling ground.
It wasn’t a clear day, but there’s something different about hiking in weather like this. It strips everything down.
Toward the end, the clouds started to lift just enough to reveal the surrounding peaks. A reminder that the views are still there, even when you can’t see them.
