Monstera sp 'Peru' Houseplant Care — 140 of 365

Описание: This Aroid has been popularly called (though misnamed) as Monstera karsteniana. I always liked that species name, (even though it was erroneous), largely because it reminded me of "Karst topography", which I thought was fitting given the coriaceous, topographic nature of the Monstera sp. 'Peru' leaves. I also don't know why this hasn't gotten a proper species name yet, as it's quite a popular plant in the market (though still hard to find in some parts). Whatever the case, it's the #140 spot of "365 Days of Plants".

The planter is one of those distressed terra cotta pots that I picked up from Chelsea Garden Center here in Brooklyn.

I'll be touching upon where this plant is native to, how it grows, where I'm growing mine in my home, and other basic care tips.
