There are so many Indigenous Zapotecan villages around then Northern Sierran mountains that have their own customs. I had heard about a village called Capulalpam de Méndez, about 2 hours north of Oaxaca City, where they do their own ceremony to understand what kind of health issues someone is going through and, through the cracking of an egg, they determine how to fix that. Depending on how the egg reacts, if there is white yolk or black yolk that comes out, they can tell you how to resolve you issues - from simple medical issues such as indigestion, stomach aches, to intense situations where you have been cursed or have deep medical issue
My issue, on the other hand, was that in my time in Mexico, I had been drinking too much good beer and pizza....this was a no brainer for them...
