Описание: The University of Michigan Sound Support Team's mission is to improve the quality and timeliness of care for children who are deaf and hard of hearing, including diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of hearing loss.

This series of presentations are a response from our patients and families that want to learn more about hearing loss, speech and language development, educational issues and updates in technology. This webinar demonstrates that self-advocacy is a critical skill in navigating life with a cochlear implant and/or other disability. We will provide examples, checklists and tools for identifying existing self-advocacy skills and fostering skill development. Additionally, we will explain different tools for effective coping and adjustment for cochlear implant users to promote mental health.
