In this detailed walkthrough, we introduce the full structure and working principle of a 5-ton-per-day edible oil refining equipment, suitable for making standard edible oil and high-grade salad oil (SC certification ready).
1. Degumming & Deacidification Tanks
The stainless-steel degumming/deacidification tanks feature built-in heaters, mixers, alkali brine tanks, temperature gauges, and variable-speed motors—allowing efficient removal of gums and free fatty acids. These two tanks have the same structure. They can perform degumming or deacidification simultaneously, or one can perform degumming while the other performs deacidification. Degumming requires 4–6 hours sedimentation.
2. Decolorization Tank
A vacuum-sealed tank using physical adsorption. Activated bleaching clay is automatically fed when the oil reaches 100–110°C. Under -0.09MPa vacuum, the oil is stirred for 30–60 min, then filtered to remove clay—critical for deep-colored oils like cottonseed oil.
3. Deodorization Tank
Built with 304 stainless steel for high-temperature stability (220–250°C). Using dry steam via a steam generator + gas-liquid separator, odors and residual clay aromas are removed under vacuum for 3–4 hours. Final polishing filtration improves clarity and purity.
