NOTES on weight sensor calibration: The manufacturer's process for weight calibration involves use of 500 gram weight, and they suggest that a water bottle containing 500 milliliters of water can be used for this. That is valid because while weight and volume don't always coincide, it so happens that 500 ml of water does weigh 500 grams. If, like me, you don't own a 500-gram weight and you don't happen to have 500 ml of water already weighed out, then if you have postal scales, and they are like mine, reading only imperial (pounds and ounces), be aware that 500 grams = 1 pound and 1.637 ounces.
