Another project successfully concluded by ETERMAR – Engenharia e Construção SA
In the past two and a half years, ETERMAR has built the submarine outfall intended to reject the wastewater of Tunis, Republic of Tunisia. This is the first sea outfall built in the entire country, which makes us very proud.
The project involved a set of challenging activities:
• Installation of a DN1600mm HDPE pipeline with 6300m;
• Installation of a diffusor with 250m;
• Construction and assembly of 1260 concrete blocks with 6tn;
• Offshore dredging (80 000m3) in order to bury the pipeline throughout the surf zone;
• Installation of a double curtain of sheet piles with 420m;
• Construction of a protection system for the diffusor;
• Construction of a hydraulic chamber with a total height of 20m.
All these activities were achieved with tremendous success, that is why we want to congratulate our fantastic team by the impeccable performance.
