The First V/Line VLocity Train to Warrnambool

V/Line are operating their First VLocity DMU Train to Warrnambool for the very first time with VLocity VL108 which is a three car VLocity Set.

With the New Warrnambool Line Timetable that now came into effect,
The N Class Locomotive Hauled Train on the Down 10:13 Warrnambool Service and the Up 15:13 Warrnambool to Melbourne Service has sadly been replace with the Vlocity DM Train which is running to and from Warrnambool for the very first time

VLocity Trains on the Warrnambool Line will only run on the Down 10:13am Southern Cross to Warrnambool Service and the Up 3:13pm Warrnambool to Southern Cross Service on the Monday to Friday Timetable until the a New Timetable on the Warrnambool Line will come to an effect on December 1st 2024.

From December 1st 2024, The N Class Locomotive Hauled Trains on the Down 7:20am and 1:08pm Services from Melbourne to Warrnambool and the Up 12:23pm and the 5:36pm Services from Warrnambool to Melbourne on Monday to Friday timetable and the Saturday and Sunday Timetable on the Down 6:55am and 1:00pm Services from Melbourne to Warrnambool and the Up 11:44am and 5:32pm Services from Warrnambool to Melbourne will sadly be replace with VLocity DMU Trains with a New Warrnambool Line Timetable.

It’s the beginning of a new era for passengers on the Warrnambool Line with the first VLocity train arriving this afternoon.

The Down 10:13am from Southern Cross pulled into Warrnambool Station shortly before 2pm – marking a big milestone for transport in south west Victoria. The return 3:13pm service is also running as a VLocity train.

From 1 December, three return services will run as VLocity trains seven days a week with the introduction of a new timetable for the Warrnambool Line.

A fourth Warrnambool return service is also being introduced on weekends, giving passengers more travel options.

Warrnambool Line passengers will now have access to the most accessible and modern trains on the V/Line network.
