After returning from the Mekong Delta, navigating the Chà River, along the Xoài Rạp and Vàm Cỏ waterways, Ngân continued her journey to the Chợ Gạo River, a familiar route that was unusually crowded today. Everywhere she looked, barges and boats were crammed together, each one moving incredibly close; a moment of carelessness could easily lead to an accident. The deeper she went into the channel, the more tense the atmosphere became, as many barges were overtaking each other at dangerously close distances—a dangerous gap that would make even experienced fishermen's hearts race. Then, the most terrifying thing happened: a boat approaching from behind sped up, closing in on Ngân's barge. The powerful engine sucked in the water from the propeller, causing the barge to lurch violently. A collision occurred in an instant, thick black smoke billowing up along the river—a scene that was both chaotic and horrifying. But that wasn't all; the northern barge, having gone too fast and lost momentum, crashed straight into the shore, leaving everyone who witnessed it in shock. After the collision, the total damage to the riverside vessel was the loss of two anti-collision tires. While not a huge financial loss, the significant issue here is the danger of overtaking at high speeds in a narrow channel, creating a very strong suction force that seriously endangers surrounding vessels. Anyone working on the waterways understands that going a little faster doesn't necessarily mean a huge advantage, but a moment of carelessness can cost property, cause collisions, or even endanger lives. Seeing the northern barges driving recklessly, cutting into the channel, getting too close, and creating such a strong suction force is truly dangerous, not only for the individual barge but also affecting the entire waterway, causing those following behind to live in constant fear. Having worked on the river for many years, Ngân only hopes that everyone keeps a cool head, works with dedication and professionalism, and considers the consequences, so that each trip is a safe one, and doesn't turn an entire stretch of river into a place full of risks and insecurity just to save a few minutes.

Το πιο τρομακτικό πράγμα σχετικά με την εργασία στις πλωτές οδούς δεν είναι η ίδια η ταλαιπωρία, αλλά οι απερίσκεπτοι ελιγμοί προσπέρασης με υπερβολικά υψηλό γκάζι. Σήμερα, από τον ποταμό Chà μέσω του Xoài Rạp, του Vàm Cỏ μέχρι τον ποταμό Chợ Gạo, η διαδρομή ήταν εξαιρετικά γεμάτη, με πολλές φορτηγίδες να προσπερνούν η μία την άλλη τόσο κοντά που υπήρχε κίνδυνος ασφυξίας. O mais assustador em trabalhar nas vias navegáveis não é a dificuldade em si, mas as manobras imprudentes de ultrapassagem com aceleração excessiva. Hoje, do rio Chà, passando por Xoài Rạp, Vàm Cỏ até o rio Chợ Gạo, a rota estava extremamente congestionada, com muitas barcaças ultrapassando umas às outras tão de perto que era sufocante. Uma barcaça se aproximou tanto da barcaça de Ngân, sugando água com tanta força que houve uma colisão, uma densa fumaça preta subiu e, em seguida, a barcaça perdeu impulso e bateu na margem. Dois pneus foram danificados, mas a lição aprendida foi muito mais significativa: a alta velocidade não garante a chegada, mas pode colocar em risco toda a rota de navegação.

สิ่งที่น่ากลัวที่สุดเกี่ยวกับการทำงานบนทางน้ำไม่ใช่ความยากลำบากเอง แต่เป็นการแซงอย่างประมาทโดยใช้คันเร่งสูงเกินไป วันนี้ เส้นทางจากแม่น้ำฉา ผ่านซอยราบ วัมโค ไปจนถึงแม่น้ำโชเกา แออัดมาก มีเรือบรรทุกสินค้าหลายลำแซงกันอย่างใกล้ชิดจนแทบหายใจไม่ออก เรือลำหนึ่งเข้าใกล้เรือของเหงียนมากจนดูดน้ำเข้าไปอย่างรุนแรง เกิดการชนกัน ควันดำหนาทึบพวยพุ่งขึ้น จากนั้นเรือก็เสียหลักและชนเข้ากับฝั่ง ยางล้อเสียหายสองล้อ แต่บทเรียนที่สำคัญกว่านั้นคือ การขับเร็วไม่ได้เป็นการรับประกันว่าจะถึงที่หมาย แต่สามารถเป็นอันตรายต่อเส้นทางเดินเรือทั้งหมดได้
