Adauri Badi recipe | अदौरी बड़ी | Urad dal Badi | Chhattisgarh Cuisine | Godavari's Kitchen
Preparation time : 20 min
Soaking time : overnight
Drying time - 2 days
Servings : 250 gms
Ingredients:
Black gram (Urad dal - bina chhilka) - 3 cup
Water - 1/4 cup
Cooking oil (to grease)
Method:
1. Wash urad dal for 3-4 times till it's powder completely goes off. Soak it for 7-8 hours and again wash it for 2-3 times.
2. Transfer in mixer jar, add water and grind in into thin paste.
3. Transfer it in another bowl and beat batter with hand properly by moving in only one direction.
4. To check whether badi batter is ready, take water in a bowl. Add small portion of batter, if batter floats means badi batter is ready.
5. To prepare badi, spread plastic over cot and grease with oil. Grease hand with water, take batter in hand and prepare medium size badi and put over spreaded sheet.
6. Dry it in sunlight for 2-3 days. After 1st day, flip badi sides else it will slick at cloth.
10. After 2-3 days, check badi is dried but putting badi in plate. If more sound comes badi is dried properly.
11. Adauri badi is ready. Prepare badi curry with potato or onion and have it with rice or chapati.
