This hiking experience was special to me since it’s one of the most beautiful mountain peaks here .The colors of the mountains are so attractive and would call you to climb the peak.

The location is in Fujairah and place is called Wadi Ghub. To reach this beautiful location you have to travel through an off road to reach this location , but its easy to reach with any kind of vehicle that have a good ground clearance.

These petroglyphs located near Taween, a village in Fujairah’s scenic Wadi Ghub, characterise one of a number of such representations within the local mountain area. They paint an ancient picture of prehistoric civilization and practices that include agriculture.
These mountains are believed to be dated as far back as the Iron Age, if not any further into the prehistoric past. They offer an insight to early societies and their environment. To reach one such example, named Hagar al Khayl – signifying the carving on a rock of a horse and its rider. You can reach these mountains in about an hour’s hike through Wadi Ghub’s serene mountain wilderness.

▫️ Avoid parking your vehicle close to the entrance as it may block the path .
▫️Avoid parking the car below the transformer or watch tower.
▫️Carry a good trucking kit and enough water.
▫️There are few mountains that are hard to climb so be very careful.
