Dr Disrespect (Guy Beahm) posted a photo of what appeared to be an official press badge for a preview event for the game Highguard, which the developers later confirmed was fake.

Key details regarding the incident:
The Fake Badge: In late January 2026, the streamer shared an image on social media implying he was in Los Angeles to "check out" the new shooter. Observers quickly noticed the badge lacked the official layout and branding used by other invited creators.

Developer Clarification: Chin Pua, the creator manager at Wildlight Entertainment (the game's developer), stated on X that Dr Disrespect was "not invited to any Highguard event past or present" and that the badge was "not an official badge".

His Response: During a subsequent stream, Dr Disrespect dismissed the backlash, claiming the post was merely "poking fun" and intended as a joke rather than a literal claim of attendance. He argued that he never explicitly stated he had "hands-on" access or that he would provide a review that day.
