Ford remote start 3 honks/beeps after LED interior light install Expedition/F-150

On my 2011 Ford Expedition, I installed all new LED lighting in the dome lights, which greatly improved the look and visibility. But after that, my remote start stopped working and was giving me 3 horn honks. The 3 honks indicate that there is a door ajar. After looking around the remote start module gets the door ajar signal through the dome lights and changing out the bulbs to LEDs changes the signal making it not work. What I ended up doing was cutting the door ajar signal wire to the remote start module and now the remote start works again. I've had no issues with this for a few weeks now and it allows me to keep the LEDs and use the remote start.
