The coyote, or brush wolf, is our North American wild dog. He is standing on an old glacial gravel ridge, among winter sagebrush. I enjoyed the austere colors and rich textures and forms.
Coyote in Winter Sage was one of over 100 paintings on display at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History during Robert's one-man show in 1987. Today on 'Behind the Scenes' Robert tells us a little more about this painting.
