Описание: This engineered log jam was designed by Intermountain Aquatics for the Idaho Department of Transportation to stabilize an eroding bank and provide habitat for endangered fish/salmon. This project was constructed in 2019. It is on the Lemhi River near Salmon, Idaho. Engineered log jams are an alternative to rock rip rap and other "hard" bank stabilization techniques. This log jam provides habitat for endangered fish species during all flows. This design doesn't require much space to construct, which made it a good fit for this narrow space between the eroding bank and the existing highway.
