For health workers like Dr. Abdulaziz, the conflict in Yemen has not stopped them to save hundreds of lives at the Republican Hospital of Sadaa. Being the only health center in this governorate, they receive dozens of cases every day from the city and neighbouring areas. This is the story of Dr. Abdulaziz and many more health workers that are committed to save the lives of people from Yemen.
“There is no room for us to stop or say, ‘We can't’, says Dr. Abdulaziz, as he does his daily rounds at the Republican Hospital in Saada Governate, Yemen. “The lives of many people depend on this hospital and if we stopped, they may die.” It’s just another day of doing the impossible, as doctors, nurses and volunteers do their utmost to save lives through constant power cuts, lack of supplies, insecurity, loss of staff and near total pay cuts.
