Derwentwater Circular Walk | 10 Miles of Lake District Scenery

Описание: We were looking for a good walk while the weather wasn’t great up in the mountains, and I came across this 10-mile circular trail around Derwentwater, one of the most beautiful lakes in England’s Lake District National Park. Starting at the Lakeside Car Park (30A Lake Rd, Keswick CA12 5DG), it’s a lovely, easygoing route with sweeping lakeside views, atmospheric woodlands, iconic fells, and plenty of spots to stop for a picnic or some photos. Whether you’re a casual walker or a seasoned hiker, this trail is an absolute classic.

Our B&B host also recommended a stop at The Lingholm Kitchen, which you’ll pass towards the end of the walk — it’s a great place to enjoy a coffee and cake, or even a tasty lunch. Definitely worth a visit!

The walk took us just over 4 hours in total, including about an hour’s stop for coffee and cake, so you could easily do it in around 3.5 hours if you’re keeping a steady pace. I’ve linked my tracked route below.
