Here, I take my Subaru Ascent off road and take full advantage of the Ascent's 4.444:1 low gearing and crawl up a pretty steep ledge. Note you can see the top of the Ascent at the start, and then you're looking underneath as soon as it starts the climb. It was steeper than it looked, yet, the Ascent, using the FA24F's power, and the Ascent's TR690's low gearing, powered right up the incline and ledge, with ease, even though it was weighed down to almost 6,000 pounds.
The Ascent climbing this was way different than the Baja or Forester - as "Baja Rob" said, "we don't have super low crawl gears that can do it at half a mile an hour", lol!
