Popular Brazilian culture. Yemanjá, also known as Iemanjá, Iáiá or Janaína in Brazilian culture, is a powerful and revered ocean goddess in the Afro-Brazilian religious traditions. The Goddess is celebrated in Brazil and other latinamerican countries. With the most significant being on February 2nd in Brazil and encompasses the essence of motherhood, fertility, mental health and the sea.

Her image and stories have become symbols of Brazilian identity, blending African roots with South American culture.

In this seventh 2026 Iemanjá mixtape, inspired by Yemanjá’s representation and strength, BATUKIZER celebrates the symbol of cultural continuity and spiritual depth for the Brazilian community and beyond, through music selection, location setup, objects and artefacts, as well as an embodiment of the rich tapestry of traditions and beliefs that have been passed down through generations.
