Marvel's 'Echo' star Alaqua Cox on motherhood and deaf representation in the MCU

Описание: @Dommah got to talk to the star of Marvel's ECHO, Alaqua Cox, assisted by ASL interpreter Ashley. Alaqua talks about recently becoming a parent, her relationship with Lauren Ridloff (Makkari of ETERNALS) and Douglass Ridloff (ASL consultant on HAWKEYE), her hopes for ECHO's impact on the deaf community, and as a bonus, teaches us the American Sign Language for "Daredevil."

ECHO premieres on Disney+ and Hulu on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. The entire series will be available on the premiere date.

ECHO is the first TV series under the Marvel Spotlight banner, which emphasizes lesser-known characters in unconventional situations, and features mature themes. The series focuses on Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire.
