"As of today, we’ve collected 500,000 tons of debris. It’s a very tip of the iceberg because the estimate is that in Gaza as of today, we have 61 million tons (of debris). It's a huge number.”

STORYLINE:
Displaced Palestinians in the war-torn Gaza Strip say they see little hope that reconstruction will begin anytime soon.
The United Nations estimates the entire enclave has more than 61 million tons of debris.
Meanwhile Palestinians continue to live in tents amid the rubble, without access to infrastructure or facilities.
Some fear that the dire humanitarian situation is currently overshadowed by the U.S.-Israel war on Iran.
