This presentation highlights key findings from a novel international comparative study covering Canada, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Spain and the United States, as well as our base case jurisdictions, Australia and the UK. Drawing on academic evidence, secondary grey literature and expert interviews, the research provides a provisional assessment of how housing markets were impacted by the pandemic in different settings, and how such impacts were ameliorated or, in some cases, exacerbated by national and sub-national policy interventions
