Trump facing critical choice in Iran war ‘inflection point’

Описание: US President Donald Trump is facing a critical choice in the coming days as the war in the Middle East reaches an “inflection point”, according to an analyst.

Ali Vaez, director of the Iran project at the International Crisis Group, told Reuters that Trump will need to choose between staying apace or escalating the conflict further.

“This is a war that started as a war of choice, but now has turned into a war of necessity because without reopening the Strait of Hormuz, this critical chokepoint, there is no way the president can frame this as a win," said Vaez.
