Uganda July 29th: Exploring Queen Elizabeth

Описание: On July 29th we spent the whole day in Queen Elizabeth National Park. We started at the papyrus fields for the Papyrus Gonolek and then went into the savannah. Queen was not as exciting as I have experienced other African savannah parks, but all the goodies were supposed to be here. Our efforts were finally rewarded with two of Queen’s trade-mark tree-climbing Lions, indeed in a tree. We also went into the marshes and flushes my first Greater Painted Snipe. When we wanted to go for lunch we found out our spot was already occupied: by Lions! Then we went onto the water and moved alongside the Kazinga Channel. Good sightings of Elephants and Buffalo were guaranteed, but also some new birds!
