1. According to reports, on January 30, Panama’s Supreme Court ruled that the operating rights held by Hong Kong’s CK Hutchison Group over ports at both ends of the Panama Canal are unconstitutional. U.S. Secretary of State Rubio said the US welcomed the decision. Moreover, a US congressman said that the Western Hemisphere does not welcome China’s malign influence. How does China respond to this?

China will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the Chinese company. China’s position on maintaining the stability and security of global industrial and supply chains for critical minerals remains unchanged. All parties have a responsibility to play a constructive role in this regard.
