One Song From Each Country In The World

Описание: A compilation of one song from each country in the world. The vast majority of these are modern songs that are popular in that country and by an artist from that country or because they showcase a side of that country's music that is very distinct to that country (especially for countries with very internationally famous music scenes). They are NOT chosen based on what I like or consider good music, but by their popularity (or popularity at the time of upload) and/or providing the best educational value for my students according to the criteria below.

Songs were chosen based on one or more of the following criteria:
Charting very highly at the time of retrieval (Sometime in 2018) or for a very long period of time in recent history
One of the most popular songs by one of the country's most famous artists
A popular example of a genre of music that makes that country unique, especially if this country regularly produces worldwide hits (USA, UK, Sweden, Germany, Australia, Canada, etc.) or is surrounded by culturally/musically similar countries
A small number of songs were chosen for other reasons, such as receiving major awards or as popular counterexamples to common myths about a country's music

Frequently Asked Question: "I'm from [insert name of very well known country] and I've never heard the song you picked!"
Answer: For larger countries with very internationally famous music scenes, I made a point to show off more niche sides of that country that may not represent the majority of that country's music, but make that country's music more unique. After all, this video was made as an educational resource, and hearing the same worldwide top 40 hits that everyone's already heard wouldn't be very educational. For example, I'm from the USA. I had never heard the song I chose to represent the USA before I made this video. But it represents a genre (Americana) that is very specific to the USA, and is very popular among that genre.

Here, a country is defined as a state with no higher governance, as declared by either the United Nations, or the United States, since this was made as part of a class for students in the United States. No political statements are intended.

Songs chosen for this video are meant to showcase unique sides of the world's musical superpowers and what music is typically like in all other countries, rather than showcasing my own personal tastes.
