শুল্ক কর্মকর্তাদের শাটডাউন কর্মসূচির এখন রেশ কাটেনি চট্টগ্রাম বন্দরে। খালাসের অপেক্ষায় ৪০ হাজারের বেশি কনটেইনার; বহিনোঙরে অক্ষোয় ২০টি মাদার ভেসেল। রোববার রাত থেকেই পুরোদমে কাজ চলছে কাস্টমস হাউজ ও বন্দরে। কিন্তু কনটেইনার জট এখনও কাটেনি। কর্মকর্তারা মনে করছেন, পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক করতে আরও কয়েকদিন সময় লাগবে। বন্দরে জাহাজ থেকে আমদানি কনটেইনার নামানো হচ্ছে। আবার বেসরকারি ডিপো থেকে রপ্তানি কনটেইনার বন্দরে এনে জাহাজে তুলে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। কনটেইনার খুলে পণ্য খালাসও চলছে। চট্টগ্রাম কাস্টমস হাউজে, সেবা নিতে আসা মানুষের ভিড় বাড়ছে। আমদানি ও রপ্তানিকারকের পক্ষে কার্যক্রম পরিচালনাকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর সংগঠন সিঅ্যান্ডএফ এজেন্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন বলছে, জাহাজের নিবন্ধনসহ নানা অনুমোদনসংক্রান্ত কাগে গতি এসেছে।

The shutdown program of customs officials has not yet ended at the Chittagong port. More than 40,000 containers are waiting to be unloaded; 20 mother vessels are at the Aksho anchorage. Work has been going on in full swing at the customs house and port since Sunday night. But the container jam has not yet been resolved. Officials believe that it will take a few more days to normalize the situation. Import containers are being unloaded from ships at the port. Export containers are being brought to the port from private depots and loaded onto ships. Containers are also being opened and goods are being unloaded. The crowd of people coming to the Chittagong customs house for services is increasing. The C&F Agents Association, an organization of organizations that conduct activities on behalf of importers and exporters, says that the paperwork related to various approvals, including the registration of ships, has accelerated.
