Описание: I am a political Queer feminist activist, currently working in a feminist organization based in Lucknow.

My school days are still a nightmare for me. I don’t even like to talk about it because recollecting those days is extremely triggering for me. I was feminine and every single day the people around me reminded me that I am not just different, but also wrong. Fortunately, access to the internet gave me the necessary exposure that geared my journey of self-acceptance.

My isolation ended at the University. I always believed that conversation and compassion are two very strong weapons against exclusion and discrimination. So, I engaged with every group or individual whenever I had a chance. These interactions didn’t just give me the chance to convey my thoughts to others but also changed and deepened my thoughts about society. I could connect how patriarchy and gender biases are not just individual issues of women and queer, it affects caste, class, and other political dynamics as well.

Being a queer with a progressive mind in a city like Lucknow and a society that is patriarchal, orthodox, casteist, and heteronormative encouraged me to envision intersectionality. I am in solidarity with all the other movements that aim to liberate humans from all kinds of marginalization and vulnerabilities.
