The Power of Loving Yourself the Way God Loves You

Описание: One of the missing ingredients in our teaching and training in Christianity, involves the power of loving yourself. Ask most people, "Do you you love yourself?" and you will most likely get an uncomfortable response. We’ve not addressed this subject, mainly because of the misrepresentations we have seen. Meanwhile, masses of believers are seeking to love others, while ignoring the fact that they struggle to receive true love for themselves. 

Learning to Love Yourself
We pray this episode can initiate a healthy dialogue that is needed as brothers and sisters. Right now, people are living more under self-hate and self-contempt than the true love that God has for them. There is an an inability to loves themselves in a healthy manner. 

There isn't enough discussion on this subject and we need to. I went through in my own journey where I felt God was speaking to me about this issue, where I didn't love myself and I needed to grow in it.

So in my study, prayer and research and said, "Okay, who else is talking about this?" Unfortunately, I found very little to no emphasis in Christian circles. This propelled me to seek God's word and His heart in a deeper way, which was the propulsion for me writing the book, "God Loves Me and I Love Myself!" 

The Challenge of Loving Yourself
Over time, many people can recognize they need to receive more love for themselves and take in the love that God has for them. Yet, so many don't know what this means or what it looks like, because we lack models and references. We struggle to know how to move forward.

So as we discuss this topic, we want to be spiritual, yet very practical. 

What does loving yourself look like? How can I practice it without getting into arrogant selfishness or pride? What in fact does it look like in your relationships to love yourself? What about in your roles as a spouse, a parent or a worker? What does it look like to be a loved son or daughter who loves him or self in a healthy way?
