Описание: Lost Cove is a true ghost town located in a remote valley above the Nolichucky River in the southern Appalachians (closest town is Erwin, TN). Steve Hancock and I planned an overnight backpack into the cove, descending from Flattop Mountain above. But numerous events conspired to cause us to abort the backpack and at the same time gave some meaning to the teachings of the Buddha and the Four Noble Truths regarding suffering and disappointment that I'd listened to in a podcast on the drive to the trailhead .
