IT'S HERE! Four years after their last full-length release, Green Day have finally released their fourteenth studio album "Saviors" today! I don't know what your thoughts are (let me know in the comments) - my thoughts are: these guys are officially BACK! Maybe it's the release week hype speaking here, but in my opinion this is the best album they've done since American Idiot back in 2004!
Anyways, I promised to remake the entire album in 8-bit once it releases, and that promise I shall keep! One by one, over the next few weeks, you'll get the entire album remade, in no particular track order. That has two reasons: for one, so I can get the shorter songs out quicker so that you get lots of new stuff from the get-go, and also so that you never know which song to expect next ;) (well, except this one which I announced in my community tab yesterday)
Here's track 12, "Living in the '20s" remade in 8-bit by me! This song stands out to me mostly because of the vocals which, at some points, go quite hard for Green Day's standards, reminds me a lot of "Horseshoes and Handgrenades" from their 2009 release 21st Century Breakdown.
