Booting stage in rice crop is considered the most critical stage where water shortage, high temperatures and nutrients deficiency may cause severe yield loss.
Potash is a nutrient which is responsible for the photosynthate translocation in rice crop from leaves to panicles. Rice grains yield can be increased by using potash in paddy fields. Potash increases grains weight by successfully completing the grains filling stage.
