Описание: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned on July 21, 2025, citing medical reasons. His resignation was submitted to President Droupadi Murmu and took immediate effect. As per Article 68(2) of the Constitution, an election to fill the vacancy must be held "as soon as possible". Until then, the Deputy Chairman or a Rajya Sabha member authorised by the President discharges the Rajya Sabha duties of the Vice President.
