DISCLAIMER: I put together this tutorial to show you how fast and easy it is to make this piece and have it look good for around 10$. Keep the following in mind. You should take a LOT longer than I did (I did this in 10 minutes) I recommend double folding over the edges and ironing or doing ironing and using Bias tape at the edge. This is NOT SCREEN ACCURATE SEAMS (But the skirting and the neck are all you should need to care about anyways) This "should" work just fine for basic approval for the 501st without any issues (unless DL/LMO says otherwise). You can use Flannel for this piece. Before you ask. Yes. I made a screen accurate Kylo costume for my kid using Lukes Fabric...(btw i said "surcoat" at the beginning, I mean MIDCOAT). You only need three things. 1.A measuring tape. 2. scissors. 3 A basic sewing machine.
