🍗 Chicken Masala Recipe (500 g Chicken) | Rich & Flavorful Curry 🍗
Learn how to make restaurant-style chicken masala at home! Juicy chicken cooked in a spiced onion-tomato gravy with cashew paste, ghee, and whole spices for that rich flavor.
Ingredients:
• Chicken – 500 g (washed & cleaned)
• Onion – 2 1/2 medium (roughly sliced)
• Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli-Coriander Paste – 1½–2 tbsp
• Tomato – 3 medium (roughly sliced)
• Green Chilli – 2 whole
• Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
• Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
• Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
• Garam Masala – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp (crushed)
• Cashew Paste – 10 to 12 cashews
• Ghee – 1–2 tbsp (as required)
• Oil – 3–4 tbsp
• Water – ½ to 1 cup
• Whole Spices: Jeera 1 tsp, Black Pepper 6 to 8, Black Cardamom 1, Green Cardamom 2, Clove 3–4, Bay Leaf 2, Cinnamon Stick 1
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add whole spices. Sauté until aromatic.
2. Add onions and cook until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic-green chilli-coriander paste sauté till raw smell disappears.
4. Add whole chillies and tun off gas to blend all into s paste.
5. In a pan add marinated chicken and ghee and cook until it starts leaving ghee
6. Add masala paste and cook until it starts leaving ghee.
7. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
8. Add kasuri methi and cashew paste, and combine.
9. Add ghee as required for extra richness.
10. Add finely chopped green chilies 🌶️ and ginger 🫚
11. Add water as needed and bring to a boil. Simmer until chicken is cooked and gravy thickens.
Check seasoning and serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
Tips:
• Adjust green chillies and red chilli powder as per your spice preference.
