Born from Above - Varition I
This ballad is inspired by the nighttime conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in the Gospel of John 3:1–18.
Under the quiet skies of Jerusalem, a ruler of the Jews comes to Jesus by night. In this intimate dialogue, Jesus speaks of being “born from above,” of water and Spirit, of the wind that blows where it wills, and of the Son of Man who must be lifted up. At the heart of this passage stands one of the most beloved declarations in Scripture:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
This song seeks to capture the stillness of that rooftop conversation — the mystery of the Spirit, the weight of eternal life, and the hope found in the Son who came from heaven.
