✈ Trip report | Albawings B737-400 | Flying on a 32 year old 737 | London Stansted - Tirana ✈

Описание: Hello and welcome to another trip report, this time I will be flying with Albawings on there classic 737-400 from London to Tirana.

As the world moves on and strives to be more greener, it’s getting more and more harder to fly on the 737 classic family, there really isn’t many options available these days.

One option is to fly with albawings, they are a small airline based in Tirana and they mostly fly routes to Italy from their base, however in the summer they operate a route to London Stansted. I jumped at the chance to catch a flight on this aircraft and step back in time and fly on this classic bird.

The aircraft itself is 32 years old, delivered in 1989 and it had flown with various airlines before finding a home with albawings, now I don’t like to point out the negatives but the seats on this aircraft, they have seen better days and they look very worn and tatty, the leather has worn out on most of them. It’s not a good look, it makes you question is the safety of the planes is not good, that aside, the rest of the cabin was in good condition.

The crew were friendly and spoke good English, I opted to purchase some food and drink for the menu, I got a sandwich, snack and drink got €9 which isn’t too bad.

The flight was relatively smooth, unfortunately there was a lot of cloud cover as we flew over the alps so no good views today, however the skies cleared up as we flew over offering some nice views over Croatia
