The place Banska Stiavnica is an important tourist place with a great history. The city has been named a World Heritage Site for its beauty and history.
The city's train station is the complete opposite of that. It is far from the center and has been neglected for many years. The city is only served a maximum of six times a day by a small Slovakian railcar.
This example clearly shows the role of the railways in the transport policy of Slovakia. #

Der Ort Banska Stiavnica ist ein wichtiger touristischer Ort mit großer Geschichte. Die Stadt wurde aufgrund ihrer Schönheit und Ihrer Geschichte zum Weltkulturerbe ernannt.
Der Bahnhof der Stadt ist das komplette Gegenteil davon. Er liegt weit abgelegen vom Zentrum und wird seit vielen Jahren vernachlässigt. Nur maximal sechs mal am Tag wird die Stadt mit einem kleinen Triebwagen der slowakischen Eisenbahn angefahren.
Dieses Beispiel zeigt deutlich welche Rolle die Eisenbahn in der Verkehrspolitik der Slowakei einnimt.
