Finally, a cheaper alternative to the Manfrotto Xume Magnetic Filter Ring Adaptor is here called the UURig Magnetic Filter Ring Adaptor (Magnetic ND Adapter Stand), but does it deliver?

There are various models to this product based on the filter size such as R-67L, R-72L, R-77L, R-82L.

The Magnetic Filter Ring Adaptor concept provides users the ability to magnetically attach or detach their lens accessories such as filters from their lens without having to screw or unscrew it. This enables users to quickly change filters and help reduce possible wear and tear of their filter threads.

The idea is brilliant but there are some issues that can occur when adding such a system between your lens and filter, and that is vignetting.

In this video, I show the results from implementing the Magnetic Filter Ring Adaptor system to various camera, lens and lens accessories setups. I also note the disappointing issues I encountered in regard to the UURig R-82L Magnetic Filter Ring Adaptor which has led me not to recommend this product unless these issues have been fixed!
