Discovered some nice adapters to allow me to use my 20v Porter Cable batteries with other brand name power tools & radio. Please read the "Important" note below.
I'm using the following adapters in this video:
20v Porter Cable to 18v Porter Cable - https://amzn.to/3erbSrs
20v Porter Cable to 18v Dewalt - https://ebay.us/a2EpCx
20v Porter Cable to 18v Makita - https://ebay.us/9QWfjS
A few other adapters not shown in video:
Milwaukee Battery Adapter to Ryobi 18V One+ (Made in EU) - https://amzn.to/3Hd9roM

Milwaukee 18V or Dewalt 20V Lithium-ion Battery to Ryobi 18v One+ tool - https://amzn.to/3szfPCN
Dewalt 20v battery to Dewalt 18v tool - https://amzn.to/3eJR92t
Dewalt 20V Li-ion Battery to Porter Cable 20V Tool - https://amzn.to/3ptpb0W
Side note: while the PC to Makita did work, the combination of the two was a little too bulky and wouldn't allow me to close the back of the radio. Despite that, the adapter still worked and will allow me to use it with other Makita power tools that doesn't have a height limitation like the radio does.
*Important: The 18v PC and 18v Dewalt both originally used NiCd batteries. Tools that use NiCd/NiMh batteries are designed to run until the battery is fully drained. Lithium-Ion tools however have circuitry in them to prevent the batteries from fully draining. Once the tool detects the power level is too low, it auto shuts off to prevent battery damage. this is why Lithium Ion tools suddenly stop instead of slowly losing power until it dies, like NiCd and NiMh tools do. So to prevent the battery from fully draining when being used with NiCd/NiMh tools, you need to be aware of the power levels left in your batteries and replace them before it fully drains to prevent possible battery damage. While that would be a pain, it's the price you have to pay to use current batteries with older tools. While it's especially important to be aware of battery drain with the NiCd/NiMh tools and Li-Ion batteries, you also want to be aware of battery drain with Li-Ion tools and other branded Li-Ion batteries since the battery drain detection circuitry seems to differ in its location from manufacturer to manufacturer. For example, some put the circuitry in the tool itself while other may put it in the battery. So just play it safe and never fully drain the battery when using adapters.
