Excellent multi-surface ride, suitable for gravel bikes and modern ATB's. Can be ridden in either direction, we recommend counter-clockwise.
Park at the junction of Maclean Creek Road and Gorge Creek Road.
Gorge Creek Road is closed to vehicles for most of it's length, has no cell service, and bears live there. Be bear aware, be prepared to self-extract in an emergency, and most importantly - slow down and enjoy.
You can turn this into a 2-day/1 night bikepacking adventure by staying at Blue Rock Campground located at the western end of the Sheep Highway or overnight one of the bandit camp spots on the closed-to-cars segment.
No cell service for majority of the route - be prepared.
