On Sunday 20th September 2020, Diesel Electric Locomotive 1774 which normally resides in Far North Queensland where it hauls the Kuranda Scenic Railway train, was used to transfer 8 wooden carriages from the QR Heritage Fleet from the Ipswich Railway Workshops to Toowoomba in preparation for the annual Carnival Of Flowers. This video follows the train at several location on its journey.
From Monday 21st September through to Sunday 27th September 2020, Queensland Rail will operate twice daily return shuttles from the historic Toowoomba Railway Station halfway down the range to the beautiful station of Spring Bluff, famous for its wonderful gardens.
