Описание: Whenever Margaret rejects John they keep meeting in places and act like strangers and even though their love is strong, they try to carry on without each other. John reliases that he cannot live without Margaret and that he needs her as he always sees her in his dreams. Margaret also is pretending that John is wherever she is otherwise she would not be able to carry on. Margaret remembers how she told him she didn't love even though she did and all he wanted was to marry her because he loved her. This has clearly affected John in Margaret's view as he seems to move on from his love to Margaret and Margaret also realises that she is nothing without John and that she needs him. Margaret remembers that it was her fault that they are no longer together and so she travels to Milton to see him but John has gone to Helstone and is reminded of his love for Margaret and when they said goodbye. Both Margaret and John then meet at a train station where they reconcile.

Margaret: You shouldn't because I do not like you.

Thornton: You must have to dissapoint so many men that offer you their heart.
