Through surgery, eyelids, hands, bones and marrow can be replaced. There are certain organs that can be donated when a person is alive and some only after death. A perfectly healthy person can donate one of his two kidneys and a part of his liver to another person.

The heart, hands and lungs can only be transplanted from a brain dead person. By donating organs in this way, at least the lives of 8 persons can be saved.
