Описание: The need for an on site Helipad was raised as part of the Emergency Department designation as a Trauma Unit, but the scope for the use of the Helipad is much wider, covering all medical emergencies such as the need to transfer a patient having a heart attack to Portsmouth, or a patients with a leaking Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm to Southampton. The project included many stakeholders, demonstrating joint working across departments within the Organisation (ED, Estates, Ambulance Control, Health and Safety, and others) and external partners / stakeholders (Contractors, HIOWAA, Coast Guard, Fire Service, Helicopter Advisor, and the County Archaeologist.) This video was created for the Improving Patient Access Section of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust Awards held in November 2013 supported by INPS.
